P&O is the fastest Dover - Calais (France) route with a journey time of 75 minutes and a choice of up to 25 crossings per day plus the fastest load and unload. Onboard you can choose between the self-service food court, coffee lounges, bars or my favourite, Langans Brasserie with good quality food, excellent choice, silver service and not much more to pay than in the self-service. Well worth it.
Dover to Calais from £30 day trip return Pop over the channel for a shopping trip, especially for wine & spirits.  There are several discount wine stores within a few minutes drive of Calais port.  I have also found bargains on-board in wines, perfumes, cosmetics and toys.

We travelled overnight from Zeebrugge (Belgium) to Hull in Yorkshire in a very comfortable Club Cabin  with a proper double bed and the kids in a bunk bed. Our cabin was stocked with a free mini-bar and Molten Brown toiletries. Again we enjoyed Langans Brasserie then went to the coffee lounge for breakfast. P&O also offer an overnight route from Rotterdam (Netherlands) to Hull. Caravans travel free on weekend sailings from Hull to Rotterdam or Zeebrugge

The Portsmouth - Bilbao route involves two nights on board crossing the Bay of Biscay. This crossing is also popular with mini-cruisers who take full advantage of the on-board cinema, nightclub and entertainment.
